How Alaka collects, uses, protects, and manages information.

1. Information we process
Depending on how you use Alaka, we may process account information such as your email address, username, authentication identifiers, subscription status, and settings. We also process information you choose to provide through conversations, memories, prompts, files, and images.
2. How we use information
- To provide and maintain your Alaka account and conversations.
- To provide continuity and memory features when enabled.
- To process attachments and provide requested AI functionality.
- To manage subscriptions, access, security, and fraud prevention.
- To diagnose errors, improve reliability, and protect the service.
3. Service providers
Alaka uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the product. Depending on the feature used, information may be processed by providers for authentication, hosting, storage, payment, AI inference, search, or other infrastructure services. We only use information as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature and operate the service.
4. Payments
Paid transactions are processed through Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Alaka does not ask you to send payment card details to us directly through chat or support.
5. Memory and user controls
Alaka includes controls for managing memory and account settings. Memory can be disabled from the application's settings where the relevant feature is available.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may contact support to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other aspects of your personal information. Contact support@alaka.chat to make a request.
9. Children
Alaka is not intended for children who are below the minimum age required to use the service in their jurisdiction. Do not create an account if you are not legally permitted to use the service.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
